TALMADGE TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Deputies are investigating after a 76-year-old man from Marne crashed and died while trying to corral an escaped horse.

Authorities responded to the scene on Buchanan St. near Linden Dr. NW at around 6 p.m. Saturday evening.

The victim was trying to follow the horse in a side-by-side off-road vehicle (ORV) when he somehow lost control, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators say that’s when the ORV rolled over and pinned the driver to the ground.

Man breaks into ex-girlfriend’s Lapeer County house to take vehicle, later crashes it during police chase

ELBA TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities said a man broke into his ex-girlfriend’s house in Lapeer County early Monday, took the couple’s shared vehicle and later crashed it.

The 37-year-old man is accused of breaking into the home on Georgia Drive in Elba Township at 3:34 a.m. He used to live there but moved out last fall when the pair broke up.

He attempted to take his 37-year-old ex-girlfriend’s purse, which had the keys to a 2015 White Dodge Journey inside. Officials said there was a physical altercation that started in the house and continued into the driveway.

The man is accused of hitting the garage then dragging the woman alongside the vehicle for a distance before leaving. She suffered minor injuries and did not want medical treatment.

Authorities said the vehicle was registered to both the man and woman so it was not listed as stolen, but the man had

Lincoln Cancels Plans for Rivian-Based Electric Vehicle

  • Lincoln has canceled plans for a new EV using startup automaker Rivian’s platform.
  • We speculated that this new model could be called the Mark E and produce up to 700 horsepower.
  • Lincoln says it will eventually build a fully electric vehicle, just not with Rivian’s platform.

Lincoln announced that it will no longer partner with startup EV automaker Rivian for a new fully electric vehicle, in part because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Ford’s luxury brand had planned to release a new EV model riding on Rivian’s skateboard platform but now says it will eventually develop its own EV.

This cancellation just so happened to occur on the same day that we published our speculation about this new Rivian-based Lincoln model, possibly called the Mark E, that was slated to arrive in 2022 or thereabouts. That timeline will certainly be pushed back now. We’re starting to think that the eventual Lincoln

What is a car loan?CANSTAR - Outstanding Value - Car Loan

A car loan is a type of personal loan used for buying a motor vehicle such as a car, ute, 4WD, motorbike, or other road vehicle. A car loan is helpful when you don’t have enough savings to afford the vehicle of your choice, but you can afford to repay a loan in monthly installments.

There are a few different types of car loans:

    1. New car loan: Available for buying cars that are brand new, and some lenders will let you use a new car loan for a car that is 1, 2, or even 3 years old. A new car loan will usually be secured by the car, and the interest rate may be lower the more the car is worth.
    2. Used car loan: Available for buying cars that are up to 5 or 6 years old and do not qualify for a new

Arbe Launches Automotive Grade Imaging Radar Processor Chip

Israeli startup Arbe, which has raised $55 million to date to develop a 4D imaging radar chipset, has today announced exclusively through EE Times that it has now launched its imaging radar processor chip as part of the chipset.

The company said this is the first automotive grade (AEC-Q100) dedicated imaging radar processing chip. The patented chip is capable of processing the raw data generated by 48 receiving channels and 48 transmitting channels, generating 30 frames per second, meeting automotive power constraints. This, it said, is higher than has ever been achieved on an automotive radar processing chip, while doing so in an “efficient and cost-effective manner”.

Additionally, the processor can scale from high resolution to ultra-high resolution and support over 100,000 detections per frame. According to Arbe, this ability to process such a high channel count provides unparalleled performance and safety to the automotive market. The radar processing chip
