WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — The Citi Bike expansion in Washington Heights is moving above 180th Street.

A total of five new locations were recently added to the Citi Bike station finder on the bicycle company’s “Station Map.”

All five stations are labeled as “coming soon” and are planted between West 179th Street and Audubon and West 183rd Street and Fort Washington Avenue.

Here are the addresses for the five soon to be unveiled Citi Bike stations in Washington Heights:

  • West 179th Street and Audubon Avenue
  • West 179th Street and Wadsworth Avenue
  • West 180th Street and Amsterdam Avenue
  • West 183rd Street and Amsterdam Avenue
  • West 183rd Street and Fort Washington Avenue

The new stations are part of Citi Bike’s expansion into Upper Manhattan. In April, Citi Bike unveiled its first station north of 130th Street. The uptown location opening came on the heels of a 2019 study showing that Citi Bike’s service area serves a largely white, affluent population while shutting out poor people of color.

The company has plans to open stations in 14 new neighborhoods by 2023.

You can sign up for Citi Bike on the company’s website.
