Phoenix police were investigating a shooting on Saturday in which a man was found shot in a car, according to officials.

About 1 p.m., Phoenix police officers responded to a shooting near Indian School Road and 59th Avenue on reports of a man who appeared to be injured inside a parked car. 

When officers arrived, they found the car with multiple bullet holes and a man with a gunshot wound inside. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

Officials did not provide the identity of the man on Saturday.
