ST CHARLES, Mo. — Eight people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash involving a stolen car in St. Charles Friday afternoon.

St. Charles police spotted a Nissan Friday afternoon that was reported stolen on Sept. 7. Officers tried to stop the car, but it didn’t stop and led them on a three minute pursuit, which ended at the intersection of Zumbehl and Veterans Memorial Parkway.

Police said the stolen car tried to drive north in the southbound lanes of Zumbehl which resulted in the four-car crash. The intersection was closed for a short period of time while officers investigated.

A 17-year-old girl was the driver of the stolen vehicle. She was arrested and taken into custody. Police said a 17-year-old boy was arrested and was also injured during the crash.

The other passengers – two 15-year-old boys and a 13-year-old boy – were transported to hospitals for non-life threatening injuries.  

Four occupants of two of the vehicles involved in the crash at the end of the pursuit were taken to hospitals for non-life threatening injuries.  

The St. Charles Police Department is investigating the incident and said it will be seeking charges with the St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney and the St. Charles County Family Court upon the conclusion of the investigation.
