Skoda Auto has introduced SuperCare, a revamped version of the erstwhile service maintenance package, and a new extended warranty programme to improve the ownership experience of its customers. While SuperCare involves preventive maintenance as well as wear and tear repair work for four years or 60,000km, the extended warranty programme offers an additional fifth and sixth-year warranty on the vehicle.

According to Skoda Auto, the SuperCare package safeguards against spare part price and labour charge inflation and guarantees authentic fitments with two years or unlimited kilometres part warranty. It also assures job work by Skoda certified technicians, multiple payment options and cashless services, and can be redeemed at all the authorised Skoda Auto dealership facilities across the nation. It can be transferred to a subsequent owner at the time of resale of the vehicle.

The SuperCare package has been introduced at a starting price of Rs 29,999, with Standard, Enhanced and Comprehensive options. It can be availed for four years or 60,000km within a year from the date of purchase of a new vehicle. For the existing Skoda customers, the SuperCare package starts at Rs 15,777 and they can utilise it for two years or 30,000km.

The Standard package includes engine oil, oil filter, drain plug, washer, air/pollen/fuel filter, spark plug, brake fluid, V belt, Haldex coupling oil, ATF, etc, as per the manufacturer maintenance schedule. The Enhanced package entails all the items under the Standard package as well as front windshield wipers, front/rear brake pads, front/rear disc, etc. The Comprehensive package covers everything listed in Standard and Enhanced packages and also battery, flywheel, and clutch assembly, including clutch plate, pressure plate and release bearing.

The new Skoda extended warranty programme, with its price starting at Rs 30,975, provides additional warranty for the fifth and sixth years or 1.50 lakh km (whichever is earlier) from the date of purchase of a vehicle. Those customers whose Skoda car is under the four-year warranty programme can also get the warranty extended for two more years, given they had purchased the car on or after September 1, 2016, and it has clocked less than 97,000km on the odometer. The new extended warranty programme can also be transferred to the succeeding owner in entirety.
