What: At its Monday work session, the council will continue its discussion of options for adding to the city’s urban reserves and may take action on the UPS Enterprise Zone Authorization application seeking a tax exemption on a proposed investment of $10 million for the construction of a new facility in northwest Eugene. During its regular session, the council will vote on an ordinance adopting the Eugene Airport Master Plan.
Joint meeting with Lane County Board of Commissioners: The Eugene council and the county commissioners will meet in joint session Wednesday concerning the implementation of recommendations in the TAC Report, the city’s plan for reducing local homelessness.
Springfield City Council
Details: 5:30 p.m. work session, 7 p.m. executive session, Monday (attend online: attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/7389107775909211918).
What: Springfield city staff will ask councilors at the Monday work session for direction on how to engage with partner agencies on two transportation plans that involve the development and adoption of policy changes. The first is the Central Lane Metropolitan Planning Organization project to update the Regional Transportation Plan in accordance with federal requirements. The second, the Oregon Land Conservation and Development Commission launched a new process, Equity Climate Friendly Communities Rulemaking, to amend several statewide planning goals. The new process will incorporate direction from Gov. Brown’s Executive Order 20-04 on reducing greenhouse gas emission.
Councilors also will provide direction on revisions to the Council Operating Policies and Procedures, which govern how the council approaches operations such as expense reimbursement. The executive session concerns financial authorization for employee claim mediation.
The Lane County Board of Commissioners does not meet in regular session this week.
