Criminal damaging: Boston Road
A resident reported a tire on his car slashed overnight Aug. 7. The suspect punctured the tire with several holes in a row, making patching the tire impossible. Police were reviewing security camera footage at the time of the report.
Traffic crash: Bellus Road
A driver was struck broadside by another driver at 9:59 p.m. Aug. 4 when the first driver ran a stop sign at the intersection of Bellus and Ridge roads. The second car, traveling south on Ridge, ran off the side of the roadway and hit a street sign and a ditch. Police reported possible injuries in the crash.
Drunken driver: State Road
A motorcyclist was pulled over for speeding and having no taillight or license plate light at 1:17 a.m. July 26. The rider failed a Breathalyzer test and was cited for operating a motor vehicle while impaired. They were released to a sober friend.
Fire: Boston Road
Police responded to a reported car fire at a residence at 12:59 p.m. July 20. The car was found in the front yard and the blaze had been extinguished by the time police arrived. The victim said an unknown person had lit the car on fire and fled. There was no further information at the time of the report.
