An area attorney was cited after a Bossier District Attorney’s Office vehicle was found crashed in Red Chute Bayou.
Howard Lyn Lawrence Jr., 53, was cited with Failure to Report an Accident, according to the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Law enforcement was notified about the crashed vehicle around midnight Thursday night/Friday morning. It was called in by a passerby and located in the bayou, in the 2100 block of Highway 527.
“It wasn’t that much water, but the deputies went ahead and looked in the area to see if maybe there was someone who had gotten out of the vehicle in the water area, maybe would have been ejected. Could not find anybody. Deputies did not find anybody in the area,” Bossier Sheriff’s Lt. Bill Davis told The Times.

Deputies learned the vehicle was registered to the Bossier Parish District Attorney’s Office.
“We were able to then find out through them who the driver of that vehicle was, make contact with that driver, and issued that driver a citation for Failure to Report an Accident,” Davis said.
The Times attempted to make contact with both Bossier Parish District Attorney Schuyler Marvin and Lawrence but was unsuccessful.
This report will be updated as information becomes available.
